Maya, the supercharged Schipperke, is co-founder and mascot of Northwest Dog Shots. If you met her, you'd suspect that she is a sugar and caffeine addict. She does everything at a thousand miles an hour then crashes hard only to be fully recharged by a ringing doorbell or knock at the door. Don’t worry, Maya doesn't really drink caffeine or eat sugar, and when she finally slows down she is the sweetest dog in the world.
Bruce Weber is co-founder and photographer for Northwest Dog Shots. Unlike Maya, Bruce actually does drink caffeine and sugar but doesn't move quite as fast as she does.. Bruce comes to Northwest Dog Shots with over four decades of photographic experience and a lifetime of pet companionship. From his first dog Bouncy, a loving and devoted Cocker Spaniel, to his current roommate, Maya, Bruce has been owned by dozens of dogs, cats, birds, fish, and rodents. And since the time he got his first SLR camera at aged 10, he’s been taking pictures of all of them.
In addition to taking and posing for pictures, Bruce and Maya have several years experience learning how to do agility. As you may know, the weave poles are one of the most difficult obstacles to learn. But as you can see, Bruce has nearly mastered them.
